April Employee Spotlight: John Ambrose
Job Title: Lot Coordinator

What is your job title, and what are your primary responsibilities?
As a Lot Coordinator, my role involves a variety of tasks, including unloading freight and new equipment, prepping rental units, washing equipment, and sometimes handling local deliveries.

How long have you worked in the industry and/or with heavy equipment?
I’ve been in the industry since 1987 when I started working for W.L. Sterner at 516 Frederick St, so about 38 years of experience.

How long have you been with Crownstone Equipment?
I’ve been with Crownstone since it opened in September 2018.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any hobbies?
When I’m not working, I enjoy tackling projects around the house and spending quality time with my family.

What’s your favorite part about the job?
The best part of my job is definitely the interaction with my coworkers across various locations, as well as with our customers. 

What has the job taught you since you started?
One of the key lessons I’ve learned is to always stay mindful of safety in my daily tasks. Accidents can happen quickly, so it’s important to be cautious and stay focused.

Is there anyone who has been a mentor to you in your career? Or is there anyone who inspires you outside of work?
I’ve had the privilege of working with many people over the years who taught me the value of hard work and dedication. Their example still influences me today. I consider all of them mentors in their own way.
